Remixes: Another thing I do at the side of my own music projects is remixes where that is wanted/needed. The most famous concept I’ve remixed so far is Morcheeba, but unfortunately these remixes where never released. The other remixes I’ve done are mostly of very underground rock groups, giving them a more electronic ‘big-beat’ style that might be argued to be more dance floor friendly. |
Due
to different circumstances none of these were released neither,
still the feedback has been merely positive. However, I find remixing
very interesting especially when it involves taking acoustic arrangements
and twisting them into something different. |
I’ve been using several different aliases
as a remixer, mostly bound up to the concepts I was working on at
the time. Some, however, is not bound up to any of my more serious
concepts, as in the case of Rexim. If you listen to any of the Rexim
remixes, you will find that the style is aimed towards a more mainstream
market. This parts from my more serious underground and experimental
approach the contemporary projects have, and the appeal is expectedly
broader, and, may I add, shorter. |
